Need help understanding how Diaglo is still posting on this board

Well, this is really a Meta discussion since it is about the rules of the boards.

Diaglo as has been said doesn't break the rules. His posts are hardly ever actually rude and on topic, just suggestioning OD&D. There really are no double standards on EN World. I've been around for ever, I know most of the people running this place, and have been warned on occasion to behave. Diaglo might have also been talked to by the Mods., They do that stuff behind the scenes if they can, and never talk about it to the public.

Not that I'd ever use it but if someone really gets on your nerves, like for having an overused routine or bad attitude (or whatever), you can put them on your ignore list and live on in happy unawareness of their existance (except if someone quotes them). The Ignore List can be a useful last ditch method to retain your sanity.

If the man didn't have it, you wouldn't have singled him out in a thread title.

I think it's due to his toothy smiley. That's why I like him at least. That and because deep down inside I know he's right. OD&D is the one, true game.

Maybe its because diaglo has embraced the love of nostalgia in a way so many of us fear too?

And plus, why would an OD&Der devote THOUSANDS of posts to a d20 site if he/she had no interest in it? Unless they were derranged. Hmm...

On a more serious note: If you have read enough Diaglo posts, you realize that he is quite well versed in every edition of D&D. He just has a preference that many of us don't quite understand.

sometimes his schtick gets a little tiresome, but that could be said for other posters as well. It doesn't make me stop having respect for their opinions though. When I let something like somebody's schtick annoy me, it generally means I am in a bit of a snit that day.
