Need Interpretation of Power Lunge

I am a little confused about the wording of this feat, and the errata does not make things any more clear.

Do you use twice your strength bonus for damage in the charge attack, or do you add twice your strength bonus to the damage in a charge attack?

For example, if you have a dwarf fighter with a STR of 18 (+4 bonus), who normally does 1d10+4 damage with his dwarven waraxe, would the power lunge do 1d10+8 damage, or 1d10+4+8?

As I understand it, it just doubles the strength bonus that is already applied, so for your example, it should be 1d10+8, as far as I can tell.

The sage has clarified that you deal 2 times your Str mod instead of your normal Str mod.

Therefore, the dwarf in your example does 1d10 +8

It doesn't matter if you are wielding a 2 hander, a one hander, or attacking with your off-hand.

I agree. Also note that in your example, if the dwarf is using a teo handed weapon that normally does 1d10+6 (the 6 being 1.5x4 since he's using the weapon with 2 hands), if he does power lunge the damage is still only 1d10+8. The times two replaces the times 1.5

Wait a minute.
You could attack with your off-hand and get 2 times your total strength to damage to that attack, THEN follow thru with your "good" hand and it's full Strength damage bonus??

Netting a 3xSTR damage bonus for 2-weapon fighters vs. x2 for 2-handed fighters?

you couldn't really get that 3× total strength damage bonus per round from this unless hasted, though, reapersaurus. Since power lunge is only usable when charging (or am I thinking of a different feat?). One can still only make one attack per charge. Although, if one is hasted, perhaps one can use the extra partial action to do a partial charge against another enemy (since you would be too close to your original target to do it again) and then get the double strength damage on each opponent with your power lunge. Of course, that is one of the really nice things about Haste, isn't it? although that extra partial action would, of couse be better used on your original target most times, but I am getting waaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyy off topic for this post now. <shutting up>

That's why I don't like the errata. I think it should let you add your str mod to the damage (in addition to any other str mod).

2.5 x str mod for 2 handed weapon
2 x str mod for 1 handed
1.5 x str mod for off hand

of course the really munchkin thing to do is be a Singh Rager (or a fleet runner) of at least level 4 (Lion's pounce: Full attack at the end of a charge) have Knockback weapon (and assume the opponent fails the check on your last hit...), power lunge, ambidexterity, Two weapon, iproved two weapon and greater two weapon then your damage out put would get really insane (Charge action;full attack at 20th level at the end of a charge getting 4 Primary hands and 3 offhand attacks all which would have 2x str mod on them, then since they were knocked back 10 ft take a partial charge at them and get 7 more attacks on them each with 2x str mod).

In case someone argues your offhand can't ever be as strong as the primary then add in the Hand of owaso (from rokugon d20) that fixes that problem

lots of ickyness

What's a Knockback weapon?
Thanks anyone in advance.
