Need quick Book of Nine Swords multi-classes help

Situation: Adding a 10th level for my Crusader in a D&D game. I'm considering going Crusader 9/Warblade 1 instead. I know that my Initiator level for the crusader stuff will still be 9, and the Warblade Initiator level will be 5, for the purposes of picking my Warblade Maneuvers.

Two questions:

1. Can I choose any White Raven, Diamond Mind, or Iron Heart Maneuvers I picked with my Warblade level to be in rotation for my Crusader Maneuvers? If not, what's the page reference that prevents it? Also, Vice Versa -- can I pick any Crusader-picked maneuvers to prep with my Warblade "slots"?

2. Could I prep the same maneuver twice, namely once with my Crusader set of "random" maneuvers, and also once with my Warblade "slots"? If not, what's the page reference that prevents it?

Any help ASAP would be really appreciated. I have a game tomorrow and I was prepping the character tonight.

Thanks!

Yeah, they really need to find a way to make dead trees searchable for this sort of thing.

"A character with two or more martial adept classes keeps track of his readied maneuvers, expended maneuvers, and recovery separately." p. 40

Based on that and the general prohibition on switching Extra Maneuver maneuvers known when you gain levels, I'd guess that the answer to No. 1 is you can't.

But the quote clearly says that the answer to No. 2 is yes.

For #1: No. From the class descriptions, it suggests the maneuvers are specific to a class, and each class's readied maneuvers can only come from that class's maneuvers known. Also, see Page 40, under Recovering Expended Maneuvers, which says to keep track of readied, expended, and recovered maneuvers separately. Even if it's not explicitly disallowed in the book, I'd recommend the DM should keep the maneuvers separated.

For #2: I don't think there's anything prohibiting this.

Thanks to you both! I came to the same conclusion after sifting through the FAQ after this post, but wanted to be sure. (Doing a find for "maneuver" takes a little while in that doc.) :)

I'm still a bit iffy on how Martial Study plays into it. I took "Shadow Jaunt" with my martial study feat back at 6th level, and I'm assuming it's still in my Crusader "rotation" rather than being usable with my Warblade stuff, but the Martial Study feat is very unwieldy in its description, IMO.

I remember question #2 in the Tome of Battle FAQ (which I can't seem to find right now, sorry) using swordsage and warblades as the example.

Their answer was "No" because (i'm paraphrasing here) the rule says you can not ready the same maneuver twice. The rule doesn't say "except when..." it just says you can't do it, which means you can't, period.

I don't agree with it, but then again I think the rules about your initiator level being 5 when you only have 1 level of warblade are ridiculous too, but thats me :)

Can shadow jaunt be used outside of combat by a crusader? I ask this because crusaders a granted maneuvers.

Furthermore, how quickly can he recover shadow jaunt? 5 miutes of rest?

They don't reset, they recover. Reset implies you can re-choose your readied maneuvers. You can only recover your expended maneuvers.

It takes 5 minutes to swap out maneuvers. (or one fullround action with the Adaptive Style feat)
