It’s quite interesting that of course, the film is very Korean-American (rather than Korean), rather in the way that Black Panther (for instance) is very African-American. This is obvious in the way that one of the creators and most of the cast (both actors and singers) are Korean-American.
Maggie Kang, the principal creator, is Korean-Canadian rather than Korean-American.

I finally watched it tonight and I even enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would.

The cat is a non-evil demon-world being, so yeah neutral essentially.

Also everyone loves the poor idiot cat dearly let's be real. The paw creeping towards an object to try and right it got huge laughs every time with the people I watched it with.
