I've been dabbling in real life chainmaile. It's really helped me understand armor for art, dnd and the whole dark ages period. That and it finially gave me inspiration to draw again. Maybe soon I'll be able to combine the two......... 'inlays'..

The half-elf was pure painting in psp. The chainmaile started off as one ring and alot of copy paste, till I had a row, then more copy paste with rows, a tweek here and there and so on.

Looks good Malessa...only thing you really need to work on is making your lines more distinct. Right now, a lot of his facial features are blurry or blending together. Other than that, nice! ^_^

Thanks KingOfChaos, I'm still learning...always more to learn. But your right, considering the rest of the pic, the face is more blurry. One more mistake I see as well, my light source and shading isn't cordinated throughout.
