2 new (old) Companions are shown, I let you see for yourselves who they are in the video.
I hope we get Delina as well as a playable character.
I suppose after BG3 and expansions the next project will be the sequel of Planescape, will be it not?
Someone already tried it: Torment: Tides of Numenera - WikipediaI'd be....wary of any kind of "sequel" to Planescape: Torment. Not that BG3 is even really a "sequel" anyway, at least from what we know at present, but PS:T was a very completely-answered story. It would betray the art of the original to try to make a sequel.
Instead, just...moving on, perhaps with oblique references, would be best. A new Planescape game that tells a genuinely new story, perhaps one that doesn't focus that much on Sigil.
It was fine. Not meeting with your personal expectations ≠ 'it sucked'.
It's all relative. The original was a masterpiece. Tides was - fine.It was fine. Not meeting with your personal expectations ≠ 'it sucked'.
Solasta done it. And they look better than the human models! And they have tails!! Larian might be overthinking the issue. Some folks are disappointed with no Dragonborn yet
The biggest issue is simply that they've said nothing whatsoever about dragonborn for like...a year and a half in development, and the game is set to launch in something like 9 months. To go this far and say literally nothing, not even a basic platitude of "we know it's hard to wait but good results are worth it and we don't want to disappoint people with showing things too early," is a valid reason for concern. Hell, formally speaking I don't know if they've even explicitly said that dragonborn will be an option, just implied it by saying all PHB options will be in it.I thought they were Angels at first glance, Astral Devas, but someone on Larian's own forums pointed that you see the Fallen Aasimar (which it's black partly skeletal wings) and the Protector Aasimar
with it's bright fluffy wings, in the video, plus the Half Orc, which means we will likely be getting those races in patch 9.
Some folks are disappointed with no Dragonborn yet, but Dragonborn are the hardest to do because unlike all the other races and the Aasimar & Half Orcs, use can't use human actors for models for Dragonborn, so that is a naughty word ton more work. Same with other races without humaniod heads.
Surprised you did not recognize said old lady, that's Jaheira.Me, literally 30 seconds ago: ERMAHGERD IT'S MINSC!
Me, literally 1 minute before that: COME ON LARIAN, WHERE ARE THE DRAGONBORN?!
I think these two things sum up my response to this trailer. Other than liking the old lady. She sounds like fun. "Let's make this....interesting."
Mm, no, not Jaheira. She's there too! And I did fail to realize that that was who it was. I was speaking of the very clearly human old woman at 1:05 in the trailer.Surprised you did not recognize said old lady, that's Jaheira.
I know who that is...but I won't spoil it.Mm, no, not Jaheira. She's there too! And I did fail to realize that that was who it was. I was speaking of the very clearly human old woman at 1:05 in the trailer.
Personally, I wouldn't mind if there are no dragonborn. After all, they include a couple of races that are not in the core rules. It's just a case of "this campaign has a curated list of playable races". Maybe dragonborn are not suitable hosts for mindflayer infestation? The biggest issue is simply that they've said nothing whatsoever about dragonborn for like...a year and a half in development, and the game is set to launch in something like 9 months.
