NEW DIGS! NEW DIGS! SIGN-UPS NOW, NorCal Game Day II, January 31st 2004

Hm, well you see... When I read that it was "January 31st," I took a look at the closest calender I could find... which was for December. December 31st is a Wednesday.

So I'll talk with my group about it- we might just be able to go!

Okay, I can run something.

It'll be either D&D 3.0 or Arcana Unearthed (that's the Monte Cook one to be more specific- even I'm getting confused between Arcana Unearthed, Urban Arcana, and Unearthed Arcana these days), for those are the only two that I know the systems well enough to play in. Then again, I could run a d20 Modern game...

But I'll run something. And this time, I'll make the adventure. That way, I'll be more familiar with it, and won't have to check my notes in the middle of the game or rely on another person's plots. (Not that your adventure was bad or anything, CM Mark! I just don't do as well running adventures that I'm not familiar with!)

EDIT: Oh, and I have at least one other group member pegged to play.

Kewl. Make it an AU game. Everyone has 3.0 down and I've had a couple o' hits for Modern. Your's is the first mention of Arcana Unearthed and even I like a lot of Monte's stuff!

Dristram, our host for Gameday II, has emailed me and asked me to do a write-up for his customers. He wants it ASAP so there's plenty of time to sign up. Problem is, I don't know what games we're playing. GMs, I need your help! Please post what you'd like to run at the Gameday, um, tonight? Seriously I need this info ASAP. Thanks. :)

I would like to run something as well... I have a few options that I've been looking to do, but I'll throw out the two I'm with which I'm most comfortable.

First would be a D&D 3.5 game, bring your own characters, to give people a chance to play old characters that they rarely get to game with anymore. I have a scenario that works very well with all types of characters from a variety of levels, so pretty much anything goes character-wise, with the exception that each character must have a history, and preferably get that history to me with some notice.

Second, I am always looking to run Shadowrun, although I know its been difficult to get a game together in Vacaville. Still, its a possibility.

Also, if no one is interested in either of these options, I could run Mutants and Masterminds or even d20 Star Wars.

Okay, Bloodymage, you can call mine Agents of the Beneficiary, a pulp, two-fisted, heroic action adventure using the Arcana Unearthed rules. Can you tell I've been watching Indiana Jones lately?

I'll add specific rules later.

OK, this is what I'm talkin' about!

Tsunami (btw, my screen namt is not capitalized), you want 1st session or 2nd?

And Elear, I've been wanting to try Shadowrun for a long time. Your requirements for the 3.5 wont be easy to pull off with this crowd, if my experience is a valid measuring stick. M&M or d20 Star Wars would be OK, but my vote is definitely for Shadowrun. Of course, you'd have to run that 2nd session to allow me to sign up! :D

I'll play in Tsunami's 1st session game and offer to run a 2nd session Mutants and Masterminds game if there's interest. I would have chimed in sooner, but this thread came up during my finals week and slipped off the first few pages before I got back. :)
