New Greyhawk Hardcover

I don't know, that's why I'm asking!

I vaguely remember a study being done by WotC or some other company showing that, in general, box sets cost too much to make and, for their prices, didn't net enough profit. Now I could be imagining it, that's why I asked! :)
That was one of the points of data mentioned by Ryan Dancey in regards to TSR's bankruptcy, I believe - all of the old 2nd edition box sets were unprofitable.

Wonder if that is still the case. I imagine it depends on the intended market and number of units shipped, etc... I seem to recall the Wilderlands box set broke even. I wonder how the Mongoose boxed sets for Conan did?

I'm a big Greyhawk fan, but I wouldn't buy a new Greyhawk hardcover. I departed from Greyhawk canon long ago (before From the Ashes and all that), so I wouldn't be interested in the fluff, and I'm running C&C for Greyhawk, rather than 3E, so I wouldn't be interested in the crunch, either.
I'm of a similar mind. I've seen/owned much of the post gygax gh stuff, and it just doesn't do it for me. And not because "it's not the way Gary intended it to be" or other such nonsense. I just don't like it.

'83 boxed set is all I need, and just about all I want for GreyHawk.

I thought abalone was the hard white stuff they use for fret markers (and general decoration) an guitars. Never struck me as particularly edible!

Did you think the shell grew without a critter inside? ABALONE My abalone dragons, on the other hand, are a different creature altogether.

I never realised it came from shellfish (or any sort of creature for that matter). I suppose that explains why you only see it on high end guitars.
