Cause it's the hell I know and made. Besides it's not like these GH people aren't doing the same to themselves. Apart from the occasional reference, (and fan made stuff) there's been little if any definitive work done on GH in the past 5-6 years.

No but if they did, I'd bet you they'd have another contender along side Eberron. Besides I think it would be in their best interests. But that's just me.
