This spell creates orbs of light in all the colours of the spectrum. You can create one orb at first level, and another orb for every three levels beyond first (2 at 4th level, 3 at 6th etc), to a maximum of 5 bolts at 12th level. You must succeed at a ranged touch attack to strike a target with an orb. You may have each orb strike separate targets, or directed them all at a single target.
Roll randomly to determine the effect of each orb:
1d8 Colour Effect
1 Red 1d4+1 fire damage
2 Orange 1d6+1 acid damage
3 Yellow 1d8+1 Electricity damage
4 Green 2 points Con damage (Fort Negates)
5 Blue Stunned for 2 rounds (Fort Negates)
6 Indigo Confused for 2 rounds (Will negates)
7 Violet Teleported 5 feet/caster level away from caster (Will negates, cannot arrive inside object)
8 Roll again, ignoring any 8’s

I am unclear on the mechanics. Do you make a ranged touch attack and all creatures within 15 feet of the monster who got hit are effected?

I would just make it an area of effect spell.

Also, the confusion effect should only be one round. The spell Lesser Confusion is 1st level and I am almost cetain its duration is one round.

Neat Idea!

Trenton as you get higher lvl you get more orbs all targets must be no more than 15 feet apart, an attack roll needed for each orb.

These three results is a wee bit strong for a 1 level spell. As already mentioned the lesser confusion only lasts for 1 rd, and thats a 1 level spell too. Stunned for 1d3 rd. is pretty good too, its an average of two rounds of doing nothing at all and dropping anything in your hands on the ground. Compared to one rd. of confusion thats very good. I would suggest 1 rd. for that effect too. As for the teleport, is there a save ? There should be I think.

That makes a lot more sense! Boy am I dumb sometimes. That is fine, IMO.

As for the stunned option, that is strong. I would make it Dazed for two rounds or Stunned for one.

The teleport option should have a will saving throw as well.

Again, I think this is a neat little spell.

EDIT:
PS You somehow snuck an extra "u" in color. Personally, I'd fix that neighbour. :)

Yes the teleport does need a save.
I kind of hate to make things only last for 1 round as that doesnt seem terribly helpful to me, but I may.
The big disadvantage of this spell is the randomness. You may well hit a target with something that doesnt even effect it.

Ok I clarfied some things and added the lines I missed. I also reduced the power of some of the effects, and removed the random element.
