New Spells: Energy Javelin Series

Something of a counterpoint to my crystal spells. Tell me what you think.

Lightning Javelin
Evocation (Electricity)
Level: Dru 4, Sor/Wiz 3
Components: V, S
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Medium (100 feet +10 feet/level)
Effect: Javelin of lightning
Duration: Instantaneous
Saving Throw: Fort Partial.
Spell Resistance: Yes

This spell evokes a javelin of crackling electricity that you hurl at a single target. You must succeed at a ranged touch attack to hit. The javelin deals 1d6 electricity damage per caster level (max 10d6) and the target must make a Fort save or be stunned for 1 round


Frost Javelin
Evocation (Cold)
Level: Dru 4, Sor/Wiz 3
Components: V, S
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Medium (100 ft +10 ft/level)
Effect: Javelin of frost
Saving Throw: Fort partial
Spell Resistance: Yes

This spell evokes a javelin of frost that you hurl at a target. You must succeed at a ranged touch attack to hit. The javelin deals 1d6 cold damage per level (max 10d6). Additionally, the target must make a Fort save or be slowed for one round.


Acid Javelin
Conjuration (Creation) [Acid]
Level: Dru 4, Sor/Wiz 3
Components: V, S
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Medium (100 ft +10 ft/level)
Effect: Javelin of acid
Saving Throw: None
Spell Resistance: No

This spell conjures a javelin of acid that you hurl at a target. You must succeed at a ranged touch attack to hit. The javelin does 4d6 damage initially and 1d6 damage per round for 1 round per 3 caster levels (max 18th level).


Fire Javelin
Evocation (Fire)
Level: Dru 4, Sor/Wiz 3
Components: V, S
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Medium (100 ft +10 ft/level)
Effect: Javelin of fire
Saving Throw: Fort partial
Spell Resistance: Yes

This spell evokes a javelin of fire that you may hurl at an enemy. You must succeed at a ranged touch attack to hit. The javelin deals 1d6 fire damage per level (max 10d6) and the target must succeed at a Fort save or be fatigued for 1 round.

Sound Javelin
Evocation (Sonic)
Level: Dru 4, Sor/Wiz 3
Components: V, S
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Medium (100 ft +10 ft/level)
Effect: Javelin of sound
Saving Throw: Fort partial
Spell Resistance: Yes

This spell evokes a javelin of sonic energy you can hurl at a target. You must succeed at a ranged touch attack to hit. The javelin deals 1d6 sonic damage per level (max 10d6) and the target must make a Fort save or be deafened for 1 minute.

I like them overall. Comparing them to scorching ray (a sorc 2nd level spell) I would say none of their effects are out of line.

I think the acid one could probably be jived a bit, maybe 2d6 per round extra or something. Or you could go for a fort save or be nauseated, which is what the acid orb series from tome and blood does.

I think the fire one should be changed. Fatigued doesn't really make any sense. How about a reflex save or they catch on fire? I know the reflex save would be out of sorts with the other javelins, but frankly the fatigue thing just doesn't doesn't seem right.
