Lucasfilm and Fox Home Entertainment have released artwork for a limited edition Star Wars Trilogy set. The three-disc package will be available to own in both widescreen and full screen editions from the 6th December this year. Each should set you back around $49.98. As far as we know these will be the special editions only I'm afraid! Each film will carry a THX enhanced English Dolby Digital 5.1 EX track, along with an audio commentary for each film, and easterggs.

Huh. Only the original movies...no bonus disc like the last set had. I'd be willing to be the commentary's are the same. Sounds like good old Lucasfilm. :)

I'm honestly surprised we haven't seen the official announcement of a 6-disc set with all of the movies.

Before they announce a 6 disc set ....

Wait. Before we get the 6 disc set. We get an Episode 1 - 3 box set. Then after its been out and sold through a market cycle, we will get the 6 disc announcement. Because lets face it, Lucas has let Star Wars became the sci-fi whore. They want to squeeze every last cent out of the franchise, no matter what the cost.

Truthfully, you can only blame Lucas(and Lucasfilm) so much. We do keep buying it.
Who's this "we" you refer to? Some of us are waiting for the addicts to stop buying the 99th iteration of the same old stuff ("No, but this time, it'd been digitally re-re-remastered!") so we can get the one set we want.
