Under the current rules, you're not always prone when you have the Prone condition.

agreed, but at least there it is hard to find a good generic term that applies to the different options, for 'invisibility' there is the much better term 'hidden' (in terms of it being generic and more broadly applicable)

Am I the only DM who rules like invisibility is actual invisibility as seen in various fantasy medias? Why must it be more complicated then that.

invisibility itself is fine, what is not fine is turning invisible by successfully hiding behind a bush. Please show me the various fantasy media that does that

Which anyone can get by going around a corner and rolling stealth a few times.

Another reason the “activate stealth mode” approach to stealth is stupid.
