Rasereit Vundinn, Dwarven Barbarian

Razh curses as his bolt goes wide and he grimaces thinking of the damage it could've done. But he grits his teeth and pushes his conscience down, focusing on the target. He loads his crossbow and fires again, spurring his mount to move as fast as it can go.

OOC: That's not a literal "spur" action, just flavor.

OOC: Sorry, work is nuts, so it's hard to GM from here, and I have a 17 hour day ahead of me tomorrow, so might be sunday or monday till next update.

Outside -
The man continues to ride hard, though he does not spur his mount on any faster, seeing the distance he's gained so far. However, his horse still pulls away from nearly everyone.

Troi and Jaan follow, Jaan manages to strike the horse with his bow, though the horse barely seems to notice. Troi manages to spur his horse on and catch up with Jaan, but can't strike the horse with a shot.

Raz fires, but his shot goes high.

Lasair follows, managing to keep up amazingly enough, which brings her to the head of the group.

Wil fires off a shot, but it goes wide.

OOC: Did I mention that IC hates you? Collectively you've rolled over a 10 twice, and the one hit did min damage.

[sblock=In the Barron's Champion...]
OOC: It's stairs up, not a back room.
"You're new around here aren't you? Besides, the room's rented for days," Says the Inkeeper, who points out the sign. "There's plenty of seedy places elsewhere that'll do for such backroom dealings. Shouldn't be to hard to find one to you're liking."

Ogrin can hear some movement upstairs.[/sblock]

[SBLOCK=In the tavern...]Ogrin looks around, and with a lower, more serious note he addresses the barkeep again. "Indeed, I most certainly am new to the town, good sir. I was ordered by my mistress, the renowned lady Lasair Alant to find a decent and honorable place for her to conduct business in town while she establishes herself. If this is not such a place, I humbly beg forgiveness and will be on my way. My mistress does not wish her coins, many as they are, be ill spent."

Ogrin then turns around to head on out. He hesitates in a mid-step then turns back to ask one final question. "The name of this inn, 'The baron's champion', yes? It seems to indicate this inn might be frequented by the knightly lords and ladies that protect the lands. Is it a misnomer, then?"

OOC: Doors, stairs, innkeepers heads... they're all made of wood. :o

[sblock=In the tavern...] "I don't know much, but usually, honorable dealings aren't looking for 'back rooms'," The Inkeeper points out. "And yes, this was once the place to stay with your champion if you were coming to fight from afar, but since the Barron hasn't had a gladiatorial champion in years, and with only the one luxury suite to offer, it's been hard to keep things up."[/sblock]
