No more LGG?

Figures. Living Greyhawk Gazateer, probably the best non-hardcover book put out by WotC for 3E, is not going to be reprinted. Just goes to show that GH is niche and will always be niche, especially with the way the fan base splinters over silly little issues as time goes by.

Yes, this is sad news. I too think that the LGG is a great book. I can only hope they have some other book in the wings to take its place, but I get the feeling that Greyhawk is once again being shown the door. :(

Most likely they've got a big enough back-store of them that reprinting them isn't worth it. When they're finished with that backlog, it'll probably be a long enough period of time that they can reasonably expect to sell a new product rather than just reprinting this one.

Though, yes, it is one of the neatest.

For me at least, it has a much different and "better" feel than the FRCS does.

Folks,

There's a very good chance that the scooper was operating upon information that wasn't 100% accurate (though with a company this size, it's sometimes difficult to tell). We're looking into it. The Gazetteer is certainly supposed to be available for as long as Living Greyhawk is a going concern, which it very much is.

Keep your eye out for new information regarding this, but it may be a couple weeks before you see it.

When I saw this, I though, "Fantastic! WOTC must be about to release a hardcover and more complete version of Greyhawk, a la the FRCS!"

I can hope, can't I?

Cheers

I too would enjoy a full hardcover Greyhawk book. The setting looks pretty interesting based on what little I've read in the PH, and in Dragon Magazine.

I was looking around for a lot of the 2E Greyhawk stuff, but the only thing I could find was Vecna Lives! and it didn't help much because it basically involved Vecna destroying everything...

In all seriousness, I think that Greyhawk will *not* be discontinued as an official campain. Why would they base the PH on it, and have a monthly "Mini Magazine" inside each issue of Dragon?

Which LGG is going out of print though? The 32 page introduction, or the larger world book? It's annoying that WotC released two books with exactly the same title. My guess is that it's the 32 page "intordution" that's going out of print, but confirmation would be good. :)

Not exactly the same title. The 32 pager was called the "D&D Gazetteer". The bigger book was called "Living Greyhawk Gazetteer", which was what was announced as going OOP.
