In all seriousness, there did use to be a fair amount of edition warring, and the even more exciting edition civil-warring, on this site.

Mods are more vigilant, but I think people also tired of it.

And 5E really is the most successful, so I don't think there is any point arguing about it.

Nobody may like them, but there is definitely an ability for edition warring to have actual real world effects on the hobby. You just gotta get a big enough following and you can control the narrative and that'll influence decisions made by companies.

Individually, you may change 0 minds, but it's not about convincing those you are arguing with. It is about convincing people who may just read the argument. It is about controlling narratives.

Even just the fact of declaring that there are TEAMS means that people will usually gravitate to one or the other and boom, instant army.

So, yeah, its silly, but it is effective.

If I like 2 editions does that make me doubly dislikeable, Multi-classed, just plain indecisive, or all of the above?
