I'd love to host a game day!

Hey fellow NorCal gamers!

I'm about to open my own game store in Vacaville, CA and I would be more than happy to host a game day! I just posted an announcement here. I would be *really* cool if it could be done on the Grand Opening

Glad you mad your way over here, Brad! I think it'd be a great idea. The 22nd would work for me, if we can get things together in time. The 29th is Thanksgiving weekend, and I'll be out of town (as will many others, I imagine).

Don't hold on my account, though. If you can make it on the 22nd, go for it.

So .. what are the latest definitive results about the NorCal Game Day?

Are we going to be putting it off until the new year? A long time away, but this is the holiday season, now, and people will be wanting to spend tim ewith their families instead.

Well, people could do stuff on the 22nd, regardless of my inability to make it that day.

But yeah, past that, you've got Thanksgiving weekend, then the December madness of people away on holidays, and then it's just bad for awhile.

Well, I just found out that a buddy of mine has gotten back from the war and his wife is hosting a "coming home" party on the 22nd. Talk about timing! The party is at 4pm and so if y'all wanted to get together for a night game, it could still work to have a game day at my store.

As for the store, it looking like we'll officially be opening on Monday the 24th with the Grand Opening being Friday and Saturday, the 28th & 29th. Yep, that would mean a game day at my store would be *before* it opened

Just let me know if you want to try and have the game day at my store.

I'm thinking January might be our best bet, what with all the holidaying coming up. I'd still like to have it at Brad's store. I think that'd be great, plus it's between the Bay and Sactown.

Hi Brad! I believe I've seen you on the Kenzer boards quite frequently. You're a HackMinion, ain't ye? Glad for the offer to use your shoppe (I'm green with envy!) for NorCal Game Day II. Unfortunately, I think there's just too many of us, me included, who can't make it. However, you could advertise at your opening that the first sanctioned HackMaster tournament in your store will be held at NorCal Game Day II. I agree with several others that with our initial date passed by, we're better off postponing until after the holiday season.

OK everyone. If I figured right, my first available Saturday after my day off December 20th is February 1st. That should be a Saturday 6 weeks after the December date (no calender handy). How would that work for everyone (and is that the right date?)? And Vacaville is kewl by me as long as it's good with Brad and OK with most of the rest of you.

As to being a HackMinion, not me. I'm a KoKer. My store will definitely be a source for all things Kenzer&Co, so just keep that in mind.

I believe that 2/1 ought to work for me. No chance of being off on anniversary weekend, either (weekend closest to the 14th of January for me).
