My question's probably been already answered, but I'm curious as to the reasoning the ten minute rest period and iterative attacks are closed content.

My question's probably been already answered, but I'm curious as to the reasoning the ten minute rest period and iterative attacks are closed content.

That was asked once before. Apparently it has (something) to do with the presentation of "OGL" versus "Not OGL" content, rather that specific intent.

(Not saying that it wasn't a deliberate decision for it to be closed content - it was. But a factor was that "that's where these changes go" ran square into "this section is closed content".)

Although since my memory's spotty, an official answer would rock.

Open Content = "stuff you can freely copy, verbatim."

Others may, as I have done, derive their own conclusions from prior Open Content, and they may well end up with the same broad conclusions and general guidelines I presented in Chapter One and in design notes (in grey boxes) throughout the work.

Still, those conclusions would necessarily need to be respectful of copyrights.
