Now You Can Play With Vin Diesel's WITCH HUNTER Class!

The class played by Vin Diesel in his recent D&D game was a custom class called the Witch Hunter, designed for him by DM Matt Mercer. Geek & Sundry has released the class as a nine-page PDF! "In a landscape tormented by all manner of beasts, devils, and abominations from beyond the veil, most live in fear of the dark, of superstition, and of the unknown. Some grow hardened by this experience, instead choosing to stand up and fight against the tide of shadow. These folk are called 'heroes'. Some, however, are so fanatical and bent on destroying the anethema that plagues the countryside that they embrace dark, forbidden knowledge. They so obsessively research forgotten magics and dangerous, experimental alchemy to become the perfect hunter that their humanity is often called into question. These folk are called 'Witch Hunters'."

This seems to me to be what the warlock should have been. Using pact and blood magic that is highly distinct from wizards/sorcerers on one end and clerics on the other. Different fluff, some distinct mechanics, very different feel.

What order did Vin Diesel play for his Witch Hunter I wonder? It seemed like the Profane Soul to me.

I've really been enjoying Matt's show on G&S. I enjoy catching his mistakes (we all make them) because he does, overall, a great job as DM. I miss having a gaming group like that, but thanks to Fantasy Grounds we're getting the band back together across the miles.

Am I missing something, or do they not get the option of proficiency with Survival. It seems strange since they get advantage on tracking checks to represent their expertise, but it's not on their skill list.

Actually I believe the witch hunter needs a little more at 1st level. D8 hp. An ability comparable to that of the ranger's favourite enemy. At least it shoul give 3 skill proficiencies.
