Jester cooked for us and the food was great!

Our dog is still here...but, come to think of it...the squirrel population seems to have thinned a bit...:p

Just kidding about the squirrels.

Jester

it was great to meet you. My wife and I had a ton of great times hanging out! And we're not even missing any animals:D

And thanks for all the DM tips too.

Hey, I'll say it again- I did NOT eat that cat!

It didn't have enough meat on it to be worth it.

Crothian's been a pal, I've finally gotten a chance to see the Book of Vile Darkness (two thumbs up), and boy, I still don't know how he manages to get so many posts, and I've been watching!

GE, it was a pleasure getting to know you three (*man, wife, dog) and your gaming group, and if I can offer you any more tips just let me know. I hope the game works out for you guys.

Alsih2o, I hope that Cool Face turns up- he was my favorite! (Well, along with 3 of the others.) What's the new one's name? Say hi to Johanna and the 250 lbs. of animals.

Hey, Jester! I hear Angelsboi's dragging you to our game on Sunday! I'm the DM, and diaglo is another one of our players. We're looking forward to having an "EN World Celebrity Guest Player" visit Sunday.

To whet your appetite and help get into character, you can choose from one of these four NPCs that are currently at the party's location:

1. Holgi (Hu Brd) is the effete third son of a wealthy Sembian logging magnate. Sickened by his son’s lack of desire to work for a living, the merchant threw Holgi out of his house. Holgi, raised on minstrel tales of adventuring, convinced three of his best friends to follow him to Mistledale, answering Oakfather Gannon Durei’s call for loyal followers of Silvanus to assist him in cleansing the woods of Cormanthor of some unspoken evil. Holgi and his friends have been assisting the Oakfather but as yet have done little “real” adventuring. Holgi is a bit naïve and immature, but his outgoing personality causes those around him to follow him.

2. An elven orphan, Avor (E Clr) met Holgi when Holgi’s father cleared the section of forest that Avor’s small elven village called home. Despite the circumstances, the two became close friends, probably because Holgi’s quick wit makes up for Avor’s slowness. Avor is a devout follower of Silvanus, who introduced Holgi and his other friends to the worship of the Oakfather. Avor firmly believes that all that is pure in life can be found in nature.

3. Laucivil (1/2E Rog) is the son of an Ordulin jewel merchant and his elven wife. He is secretly ashamed of his mixed parentage, and overcompensates by being brash, flashy, and outgoing. He considers himself to be worldly, sophisticated, and quite the ladies man. He is constantly primping, preening, and fussing over his jewelry and clothing. He followed Holgi to Mistledale out of boyhood loyalty and a desire to gain more wealth, but has so far been disappointed by the dirty drudgery of adventuring life, and is particularly put out that he is currently living up a tree like some common elf, rather than staying in the finest inn in Ashabenford.

4. Muammar (Hu Rgr) is who they meant when they coined the term “strong, silent type”. He was originally employed by Holgi’s father as a tracker and guide, but fell in with Holgi and was corrupted by the younger man’s “don’t worry, be happy” philosophy. Now Muammar’s strength and quiet scowl is often all that keeps Holgi, Avor, and Laucivil from getting into trouble. He feels much more at home at Oakengrove Abbey than he did in the more developed Sembia.

diaglo keeps our Story Hour here. It isn't fine literature, but it's good fun. Hopefully he'll have it updated early next week so so everyone else can share in your adventure.

Have fun in Hotlanta; see you Sunday!

Hey Olgar! I'd prefer to make my own character if that's feasible, but if not I totally understand; sometimes it's hard to work in a new pc, especially for just one session. I look forward to meeting all you guys, and I'm really jazzed to play some dnd- I need my fix!

I should be there (in Atlanta) sometime Saturday... seeya then! (Or on Sunday, for those of you not in the Saturday game as well.)

The NPC's listed above are currently at the location the PC's are at (and have skills that help the party) -- but if you'd rather make you're own character, no problem. The party (barbarian, fighter, druid, conjurer, enchanter) hasn't interacted with any of those folks yet, so a swap is easy.

Characters are currently 2d/3d level, built using 25-point buy for stats, essentially core rules only. Angelsboi should have our house rules laying around somewhere, not that they're anything earth-shattering.

See you at my place Sunday! (I think we're all a completely different group that AB's Saturday game).

Jester is on his way. It was a great time and an enjoyible man to meet. We talked gaming way too much, but he does have some great stories. The Jubilex Mob Boss was particuliarly funny.
