(O.T.) The Jester's Real-World Adventures

About Dagon: it's on video, in the new releases section at Blockbuster and other fine video rental establishments near you. Although, truth to tell, I wouldn't call Blockbuster "fine" in any way...

About Grace: nothing really happened, though there were some... interesting conversations about (ahem) shaving various body parts and other, er, um, things. But she and I are both in what I would loosely call open relationships anyway, and there were some, how do I put this delicately, discussions lately between her and her semiboyfriend about whether they're on the same page at all. So it isn't as if anything was necessarily precluded on either end... However, I think the fact that we don't live in the same place and I don't think I'll end up in Florida (terrible weather if you don't like heat and humidity mixed together) means that we're destined for a fine friendship and nothing (well, at least not much) else.

I'm actually quite happy with the way things went, by the way; I went to visit her not quite knowing what to expect and I left feeling like I'd gone for a brief swim in a deep dark sea. It was delicious and exciting.

Well, I had a blast running my one-shot... Diaglo, Olgar and a fella named Tim played, and they had an interesting time juggling the interests of the wood elves of the coast, the wild cannibal grugach of the interior jungles, the aarakocra (never can spell that one) that worshipped the great yellow shocker lizard, and the halfling jungle savages.

In the end, they slew the great yellow shocker lizard- a maximum advanced 9 HD yellow shocker lizard. Really, open your Monster Manual to the shocker lizard page and picture it yellow; you'll get it.

And if you need another hint, let's just add this in: Its bloodcurdling hunting cry was something like this: "PIKA! K-k-k-k!"

Whew!

I've made it to New York City, and Wednesday I head to Waltham, MA... I'll be hanging out there for a few days, prolly through the weekend and into the early part of next week and then heading back to California to get a job, make some money and decisions, and then move to... wherever I decide I want to move to.

Sooo, P-Kitty... how about a game next weekend? Is your regular one scheduled, by any chance? ;) Even if not, I certainly want to meet up with a lot of you crazy Boston-area folk...

Hopefully I'll see you soon...

Sounds like you hada grweat time with that one shot. So, did your towel catch up with you yet? It's great this trip has been such a success.

keep us up on how it is going :)

Yep, I'm continuing to have a blast... though I still have one card, the envelope stuck so I need to get another before I can send it...

I'm out of money and almost out of time on my ticket, though, so I'll be heading back to California in about a week. Not sure how the routing will go, but I might try to swing back by your way for a moment or two if you and Johanna are interested- and by the way, did Cool Face ever turn up?

(burp) -Uh, nothin'.

come any time, the door is open...

coolface never showed, but he has been replaced in the roster.

i shoulda remebered to send you out with some stickers, if you collected addresses maybe we can send stckers to your hosts for their efforts :)

Yeah, I got to it last night... thanks for sending it back, and I agree- I have been having so much fun I can't even tell you! I'm so glad for all the ENWorld folks I've gotten to meet- I hope we all get the chance to do it again someday. And if any of you- even you guys I haven't met- are in my neck of the woods sometime, look me up, we'll hang out!

If you're going to be in Waltham on Wednesday, I'm running a game at Pandemonium Books and Games (www.pandemoniumbooks.com) from 6 to 9 pm. The game is probably full, but I'm meeting another board member for a beer afterwards. You could join us! Can you join us? What time are you getting in?

I could always give you a lift to wherever you're staying after the game, although it would probably be around midnight before you got there.
