Ohio GameDay IV planning

Interactive designs has a neat set of pdf counters for modern and superheroes but you will have to print them. They fold for stand up like the Steve Jackson game cardboard heroes. The cardboard heroes has great stuff such as modern cardboard stand up counters, floor plans for a haunted mansion, a nuclear base, Traveller ship floor plans, etc. and are physical products but you need to cut the hero figures out to use them. check out www.sjgames.com and go to their warehouse 23 link for buying the cardboard heroes stuff.

wow, that sounds cool. I have to make sure to try and make it to where ever the next one is. How far apart are thses things held? And what kind of games are played usually?

We have no place for it. Its been over 2 years I guess since the last one becasue we have no place to hold it. We aren';t as cool as the other states who have places to hold it.

So, if you are in central Ohio and know of a place where we can hold this, tell me!! :D

Im in North East Ohio, so that may be out of your way, but i might also have enough room to host about thirty gamers or so at about five tables. That is i will after the renovations are complete on the downstairs. It is a single day event right?
Five tables of six each, two complete kitchens, two full baths, plenty of onsite parking, free wifi, designated smoking area, and child friendly. Maybe after my wife and i finish up the downstairs, we can try and work out somethig for anyone interested in this neck of the woods.
Two years is simply too long to go without a big game...thing.
Also thanks for the tips on counters.

Alternatively, Comic Town/GuardTower/Armory/Ravenstone, as well as some of our good friends online, might be interested in a sponsorship, which could fund a hotel, cafeteria/restaurant, or conference room.

I'm in NE Ohio too. And now that I'm driving again, I would be all about a game day in this area!

None of these are free. We had the first two in OSU but that was becasue one of the guys got aus a room through the physics department. He graduated and went to another school for his docterate.

Iasked these places last year about it and none of them showed any interest. Anyone is free to try again.

CABS used to use the rooms at the East Broad library branch, although I have no idea if it was free or if they had to put up a fee...

While not free these could be reasonably priced and some are pretty nice and several offer a decent amount of space. Sometimes the biggest expense is the deposit too.

Also, we are in Ohio, maybe someone has a barn we could use! ;)
