Hmmm....Exotic Spell: Energy Bolt at Level 6? As a Magister, why not take Energy Mage? IIRC, that would give you access to Energy Bolt, as well as a bunch of other Lightning based spells.

Taking the Energy Mage feat only gets you one version of Energy Bolt. Using the Exotic Spell feat to acquire the spell lets you cast fire, lightning, sonic, cold, or acid versions of the spell. That kind of flexibility is worth the expense of a feat, imho. One thing I've noticed in general, is that many of the exotic spells are worth spending an entire feat on.
