[OOC Discussion] A Call for Lovers (DM: jbear Judge??)

Also, in the mean time, you would be more than welcome to NPC either Zuri (eladrin rogue) or Shandra (elven avenger) until the end of the chapter! :)

Finally got a character concept that seems like it will fit well, so I can stop clogging jbear's inbox. Here is Sir Flibbertigibbet, your new striker. jbear I added some detail to his background and so forth; let me know if anything needs to be changed.

Can't wait to get in on the action :D

Sir Flibbertigibbet seems rather appropriate. :)

OK, folks, so if we can't see anything after a cursory search downstairs/outside, shall we go up?

I generally like Rain going first but Perception ain't her forte. I think maybe Zuri should be at the front just to watch for the bad guy (or perhaps traps?) and Shandra or Sabynha should be at the rear to watch for anything behind. Or maybe the reverse should be true, in case Sabynha's diplomacy needs to come to the front.

So, about our deal with the giant...

If we want to set conditions, I would suggest trying to get him to agree that even if he "wins" that he takes us as prisoners back to his master Ragnar, along with his quarry. Do you think that would work?

I think he's all for killing his quarry and having done. Not sure ending up as probable slaves would be great...

I always thought we'd have to try and take him alive, though.

Yeah, I get that impression as well, I just thought that if he wants to add rules, we might as well try to make it as hard as possible for him to do that, even if we were to "lose".

I don't know if he'll go for it, or if he will even stick to his word, but I've tried.

Tactically, where do we all sit?

My Daily is gone, my item daily is spent, so I'm sitting on my encounter power that can daze for a turn on a hit, my racial that can grant a bonus to a skill or attack roll or a shift, and then basic attacks. I figure we'll be best off if I mostly use the one that grants a bonus to hit, if I hit. Other than that, I'll do my best to keep people alive, but I've only got two, so try not to get hurt!

As far as power choices go, I'm guessing this guy is a solo, so save ends effects are likely to be ineffective, and he's going to get two nova rounds. My only trick right now is an end of turn daze. If we have more than one, it's probably in our best interest to spread them out to try and keep him on the ropes if we can.
