(OOC) DND 3.5 The Flames of War

Bloodline as in unearthed arcana is a no as well, technically only you would have to make checks against fatigue if you don’t slow down the party half of your March would be moving at 1 and a half speed. I’ll make a post as it becomes necessary.

Given the length and timing of the route, it’s fair to say that most patrols are lightly armoured? Or on horseback, I guess?

I kind of imagine that Byron should be at the front(and he has a reach weapon) but if Eos has the map and is navigating, he should be in the front? He could still navigate from the back, obviously. Edmund wants to be near Eos so we can have him near the middle but slightly up front.
Eos
Farmer
Edmund
Kid
Kid
Byron

What do you guys think?<snip>
Eos leading, Edmund second to provide support with his bow if required. Byron and the two kids in the van. Farmer as tail end Charlie, watching our six. Loose line, 10-15 feet between each person. Or put the two kids each side of Byron, protecting his flanks (and where he can keep an eye on them).

Byron can keep the map. Eos knows roughly were they are going. Eos is just assuming Byron is leading the company as he seems to have more experience of patrolling than anyone else. And looks the part with all his kit.

Maybe I’m thinking of high elves and wood elves in 5e. In any case, any mistakes I made can just illustrate Byron’s ignorance of elves. I mean, any elf looks tall when you’re a kid. So maybe his memories are playing tricks on him! <snip>
Or maybe there are are different types of elves.

Sounds good. Maybe one of your parents is a second cousin or something to my mother. I gave her the same last name as your character but I’ll change it
No, it's fine. We can be that close in blood, maybe just not close friends since travel isn't like going today to the neighboring state. We can be maybe twice-a-year-friends/mischief makers :p

I expected the answer for bloodlines :) I just find limiting PHB only - which affects most heavily melee characters and most of D&D is available online these days :) Sorry, I won't push anymore, we started the campaing.

For recruiting, post something in the recruiting thread again.

I need to update the character sheet with Appraisal and Spot. And extra money

I like your first suggestion. I'm going to suggest a tighter line. 15 feet between each means it's going to take Byron 2 rounds to get from the back of the line to the front.
