I bought:

• 50 foot hemp rope = 5sp
• sack = 2 cash
• bone/hide shield = 2 gp

So, i'm left with:
1 sp, 98 cash?

Re money. the shield costs your your 10 rupees, and the rope 5 of your starting 7 sp. Of the remaining 2, you have 1 silver piece and 8 cash. It's 1 sp = 10 cash, not 100.
