D&D 5E [OOC] Uller's Out of the Abyss

He would eventually like to get up to half-plate armor, and I do not think anyone knows. There has been no reason to speak of it, really. He is already wearing the chain shirt that they got back at Velkenvelve. It will really become a better option next level, because I intend to take Medium Armor Master, so that I can stealth without disadvantage and use my full +3 Dex mod while wearing medium armor. Then I can wear scale mail and half-plate without penalty.

The reaon I asked is some of the NPCs would know where such armor could be purchased. Of course you'll need more coin than 15 ep...

Any of the NPCs know where to get a rapier? I took Dual Wielder assuming I'd be able to find another one in all the stolen slave stuff at Velkenvelve. (Dual Wielder allows you to DW non-light weapons). Not sure I'd have chosen that if I'd known I'd be stuck with a light d6 weapon as my secondary.

I also hate hate hate the idea of a barbarian (or literally anyone) running around with two rapiers. (TBH I hate even using one, but not enough to downgrade to a d6 weapon.) So if I do manage to find another at some point, maybe you could just...wave your magic DM-hand and reskin them as shortswords ir something?

I think our best bet would be from the drow, as rapier would be their style of weapon. You could always try to get a whip for your off-hand, less damage, but reach and possibly battlefield control...
[MENTION=413]Uller[/MENTION], I figured as much. It just never really seemed appropriate to talk about it in our little downtime rp sessions. Aside from the occasional off-hand comment about the chain shirt, I don't think that Ez would say much.

Hmm, perhaps Surana will be ok with Gracklestugh before Neverlight Grove after all.

I was really looking for an out anyway. Topsy has already survived one horrific "disease"; Surana would never forgive herself if the poor thing got this fungal nonsense that Sarith has.

Plus...after Sloobludop, I realized we're going to have trouble communicating if we drop Drum off already. :\
