Hi Ed,

Is this solicitation still open? Can you provide a bit more information on what you're looking for?

Thanks!

Yes, it is. Honestly, I'm pretty open about the subject. I guess the only comments I can make is:

1. It must be geared towards players and DMs alike.
2. No humor or non-fantasy genre topics.
3. Must be original concept. Avoid anything that has already been done, unless you have a very good write-up for it.

If you have any specific questions, just ask!

If anyone is here, I have a possible question, as a a friend of mine and I are working on designing a full-fledged campaign setting.

My main concern is this: Will authors retain copyright or do we have to basically sell the idea to your company? Basically, I have worked on the conceptual ideas for years and only recently turned that concept into the idea of a d20 campaign setting, and I am looking for a publisher willing to allow me to retain the copyright.

Simply put, I'm looking for a standard working relationship here with author copyright retention and normal profits/royalties.

Anyway, thanks. Hope someone sees this . . .

Traditional Author/Publisher relationship

I looked on the website, and could not find any information about whether or not the author would be paid. You are looking for previously published authors, so would I be correct that this is not geered toward people trying to break into the writing business.
