Orb, Wand, Staff... How many can I hold?

Can anyone tell me where to find info on whether you can use a wand and orb the same time? The info on slots is very slim in the PHB.

If the orb gives +1 to attack and damage, and the wand +2... +3, right?

I'm floundering a bit here.

A two weapon fighter can benefit from two weapons, right?

Any help would be appreciated.

So there isn't actually a tome implement like I thought there would be, but it's just as relevant...

No, you have to channel powers through one implement, otherwise a cleric could just grab X holy Symbols +1 and use them all at once.

Also, Enhancement Bonuses never stack.

Page 275 says, "Don't add together bonuses of the same type."

So you can't add the bonus from the wand and the orb.

But couldn't you wield both and use the powers in both, as long as you didn't use them at the same time (like wielding two weapons)?

In 4e, wield seems to mean use, not hold.

Nevertheless, yes, you can have say, an Orb in one hand and a wand in the other, and use either one with a power on your turn.

As you said, even with two weapons, you can't use them at the same time unless there is a power that lets you.

The only thing that picking your implement at character creation does is give you the bones under your class for picking it. After that you can use anyone at a time (numbers do not stack) like any other weapon. However you can only carry so much gear. Look at item slots on page 224 of the PH. Also look under Enchantment on page 225 of the PH.

@Master Witch:
Can you please change your font, it is (at least for me) extremly hard to read... :(

To the OP: Only the highest counts, but it is still useful to have different implements because of your implement mastery effects.
