Good games so far..

All in all, this World Cup has been full of surprises...Kudos to Team USA for putting up such a furious defense, though with the kind of the offense the Koreans were putting up, it was hard for the US to play a level headed game. There were so many near chances for a goal, I was screaming with frustrations!

Well, good work Korea...I hope we do better against the Portugese, as we'll need all the talent and energy to tie with them, never mind beat them.

Bold predictions...

I'm holding my breath for this final week of the group stage. Germany, Italy, Portugal, Argentina, and France all face elimination before the last 16!!! Personally, I hope at least 3 of these will be eliminated - but for the sake of peace I won't mention any names .....

It would be good for world football to see a few big nations crash at the roadside.

Also, when I did a betting round with my friends here (5 points to get the winner - or draw - right, and 10 points to get the exact result right), my predicted finals was Italy 2 X 1 Argentina.

It won't make the game easier. Poland will be playing for pride, I doubt they'll roll over for US. But unless they really raise the level of their play, the US is in good shape.

Indeed, I'm really wondering what happened to France. They didn't play anything like I expected. Has to be some serious reevaluation after this loss. Alot of courage from Uraguay coming back from 3-0 down to Senegal. They managed a draw, not enough to advance, so it's Denmark and Senegal on to the next round.
