when depressed i like to listen to a lot of different things.
one cd i really enjoy when i am a little down is disentegration from the cure. that album is just wonderful when in a depressed mood. i am not sure exactly why but it captures things nicely. maybe it is the low, chiming synth work, old bob smith's morose vocals, the non aggressive symphonic guitar riffs? who knows. i just know it works wonders.
another one i really suggest, whether depressed or not is the fragile, the 23 track 2 disc opus of nine inch nails. it is simply trent reznor being trent reznor, one of the best artists around pushing his art to yet another level. one needs to listen to it preferably in a darkened or dim room with headphones, one disc after the other in order. it all works together. so many of the lyrics just make sense when you are feeling a little low. it is a must listen. no doubt about it.
well there are my suggestions.
and fear not, it always looks up. if you allow it. things always look up.
