[OT] Best pirate movies?

Sulimo beat me to it, but if you haven't seen "Yellowbeard," you haven't really SEEN a pirate movie.

The question got me thinking of a tv-series I saw years ago called "Jack Holborn". I remember it as a great pirate story. Does anybody remember this?

It's not a movie, exactly, but The Pirates of Penzance is a pretty funny musical.

And Black Arrow was not so bad either. As long as there is a "Arg" or two and a good sword fight with someone falling out of the crows nest, I'll give it a thumbs up.

I like Pirates. I can't remember who was in it or anything else, but I remember liking it. Also, you can't go wrong with The Crimson Pirate. Arr!
By the way, Heretic, playing a Freeport campaign are we?

I realize that it's only marginally a pirate movie (though it does have the "Dread Pirate Roberts"), but I figure it would be criminal if someone didn't mention the Princess Bride, that being said I would probably have to toss in a vote for Yellowbeard if you're going to be strict...

Didn't that bad movie with Chris Eliot (the guy from those Doritos commercials a few years ago) have pirates in it?
