[OT] How can I live without sleep? (Help me P-kitty!)

Same problem, sort off. I can easily sleep 12-14 hours per day, and I hate it. I'd just love to sleep 7 or 8 hours per day (or night), I'm wasting 50%+ of my life in the bed sleeping god jesus! :(

I only ever get 4 hours sleep a night, but then again I have ADHD

You have ADHD and play RPGs? Wow, I'm pretty impressed. :)
I know people who do have ADHD and to tell the truth, these would have an awful lots of problems just creating a character..

(I am not trying to generalize everyone one with ADHD with this post, and while I do know what it is... that's pretty much it. Anyhow, just sharing my first reaction when I read your reply.) :)

I'm taking in very few stimulants.

No coffee. Drink of choice is Diet Coke. I drink about 3 of these a day.

Though I've recently taken a liking to Vanilla Coke. I'm still not sure if I like it or not though.

It's taste..... amuses me. *shrugs and takes another sip*

i'd have to go with cutting the stimulants and exercising.

Not just before bedtime, though. Exercising within a few hours of trying to sleep can keep you awake instead. Moderate exercise on a daily basis can really help straighten you out, though.

ADHD presents a wide variety of symptoms, and different severities. One problem, an overactive imagination, can be a positive boon in RPG's. Back to the topic at hand, it can also be hard to sleep when you can't keep your mind from racing about one damn thing or another.

Caffiene is definitely a no-no for correcting the drowsiness that comes with sleep problems, if you have any other alternatives for remaining functional while you're awake. It will generally just make the underlying sleep problem worse.

get out of the diet coke and go with water. Healthier. also diet uses a sweetener that may cause carcinogens in the long run.

To get a good night's sleep, you will need to be able to tire yourself out, through some sort of excersise and then give yourself enough time to wind down fro it to crash.

a good bout of under the sheets does that too. hehe
