I think that you're overreacting, but every post has a "report this to a moderator" button. If you think this should be shut down, hit the button and follow the prompts; it is your right.

My life, compared to that, is paradise. But even still, I got to the edge of the roof and almost jumped before. In that situation, I don't think I'd hesitate. Especially when there are no friends to talk you down.

That's sad to hear. You've got a lot going for you, from what I have read on these boards. You'd be missed, even if you do not realize it. I hope you put such thoughts far from your mind and do not entertain them as a solution in the future.

I might be overreacting, and while I think it's an informative link (not to mention frightening), I just don't see the good that will come of it. Hope I didn't offend you.

You might be right, and I will take a moment to say that I didn't happen to be offended by your suggestion. Personally, I've seen some odd threads on these boards of which I've had the same reaction. (..ask anyone who was in the moderators forum when I was "in the service of the EN"... )

Ah, don't worry. I got over depression and low-self esteem and replaced it with Elitism, Over-confidence and Egotism.

But if I ended up in that situation, Egotism will last only so long before I'm broken, and that's when I would go over the edge, I guess.
