Bring out the brooms, the Lakers sweep Portland for the second straight year...
Even though they ended the year on a mediocre note, they start the play-offs with a vengeance... not really- but they still got the job done.
their biggets threat of the year comes in the first round, and the Lakers close them out witha sweep. All that is left now is for Dallas to finish off Sacramento (which is something taht Dallas can do considering teh GUNS they have and that they can run with the Kings, sometihng that the Lakers will have trouble doing).
Lakers rest for a couple days and take on San Antonio- which the lakers have little problems with- and that teh Spurs are missing The Admiral- makes them a little less frightening for matchups...
what doyou think? will the Lakers ride their momentum back into teh finals- sweeping all the teams along the way, beating last year's record of 15-1 in th eplayoffs- and be the first team in NBA history to go undefeated?
If they make it out of the west undefeated, they have a very good chance of doing it because the East is even weaker this year than last- and "the answer" is having a hard time with Boston...
As it stands now: New Jersey, Boston, Detroit, and charlotte, none of which has a chance in ****of winning four games against the lakers..
