[OT] My uncle cleaned the house with Pepsi Blue

So, ArthurQ, when you drink Pepsi Blue out of a Windex bottle, do you use the sprayer? If so, my hat's off to you. That's STYLE, man. Pure style...

Has anyone here tried Mr. Green? That's got my vote for the most vile soda on the market. It's put out by Sobe, and it's basically caffeinated Dr Pepper. With GINSENG, for the love of god. It's like drinking bubbly pond water. I can only hope it's been discontinued by now...

This is coming from someone who once drank a can of Moxie at a '50s style diner, on a dare...I liked the Moxie better.

And I second Numion, once you've gotten used to drinking diet sodas you can barely stand the sugary taste of regular sodas. It's a good way to lose weight, I lost 16 kg in three months by just getting away with the sugar that way, and after that I can barely stand the taste of candy and soda. It's worth a try.
I'll second the taste thing. Several months ago, I stopped drinking caffeinated soft drinks because the caffeine doesn't agree with me. I then figured that since I had cut out the majority of soft drinks, I may as well go ahead and give 'em all up. Anyway, not long ago, I was at a restaurant and decided to cheat and ordered a good ol' regular Coke. Bleah, couldn't finish it. Soft drinks are apparently an easily un-acquired taste.

Minute Maid (I think) makes a diet Lemonade. It's new. And, really, really good. This coming from someone that can't stand most diet drinks on the market.

But the major question I have is - how well does Pepsi Blue clean??

Diet mountain dew is an abomination against God and all of humanity. What is the point of an uber sugar and caffeine drink when you remove the sugar and caffeine?!? Oh, and the taste suckles too!

You won't want to visit Canada then, Breakdaddy - our Mountain Dew is still syrupy as hell, but there's no caffeine in it at all. Take away the sugar too in a 'Diet' version, and life just isn't worth living.

At least our Coke tastes better than yours. Bottled coke tastes like crap in the States for some reason. Canned is okay, but in bottles it tastes off somehow. I noticed this every time I travelled for a conference, and thought it was just me being strange so I smuggled in some Canadian bottled coke and did a head-to-head taste test and proved it. At least in the New York, Pennysylvania and Florida areas your bottled coke is ass-tastic. I didn't try any in San Fran, so I can't say anything about your west coast distribution. Maybe they use a different plastic that tinges the flavor somehow?

Strangely enough, I drink water. Sure, I drink some Coke, but usually just water.

I guess I do drink sodas while gaming though. hmmm, and eat tons of chips and other snacks. Yeesh, if I had to lose weight, I'd probably have to quit gaming.

If you are trying to lose weight, switch to drinking water. Flavor it with a lemon or orange slice if you have to. Water, everything your body wants when you're really thirsty, and nothing it doesn't need.

I won't get into all the reasons, but the best "diet" drink out there is, yup, water.

I think we're missing a point here. If the substance in question was alcohol or drugs, we'd all be telling you you've got a problem and you need to get help. But, as it's Pepsi Blue, we've all been distracted by the ass taste.

Just saying.

Depends. Water doesn't taste as good as diet sodas, some could argue. Calories are about the same both in water and diet sodas.

So it's really a matter of opinion which is the best drink for diet.

This thread has made me thirsty! I've already consumed the obligatory 6 cups of Folgers before noon, so perhaps I'll switch over to my own soda of choice, Cheerwine, before beer-thirty arrives and I break out the Pale Ale. ;)
