[OT] NHL Stanley Cup Finals

Every round, everyone counts out the Canes, every round they prove them wrong.

Mind you, you'd have to be smokin' something pretty strong to think they have a chance at the cup, but I think they'll, at the very least, put a little scare in the Wings.

Go, Habs, G...er...Go, Avs...um...bah, just give the Wings the mug they bought and lets get on with the next season...

Personally I'm waiting for the draft right now. :) I just hope the usual crapshot pays off for the Flyers. Could really use those draft picks right about now...Though I think Clarkie will waste them as usual. :(

Anyway, I'm just waiting patiently for Tuesday. Still hold to my prediction, Wings in 6.

They seem to do pretty well with the first rounders despite picking late. Of course that?s likely only because Clarke has nothing to do with it, I remember reading a comment where he said he didn?t know anything about Gagne and that it was the scouts who convinced him to pick Gags.

Well, it really doesn't matter if the fans count the 'Canes out. The Wings aren't doing so, if you've seen any recent interviews with any of them (I saw Yzerman and Hasek both talking about that yesterday...)

Hejdun:
I agree with you about fan behavior, and I'm equally glad (if not moreso being a Wings fan) that Detroit and Colorado played a clean series. It was the best playoff hockey (Game 7 aside) I've seen in quite some time!!

Drayan:
I'm glad to see you pulling for the local team.

Agamon:
LOL :D.

Nightfall:
Clarke is brutal...I feel sorry for Flyer fans. And I'll stick with Wings in five.

Josh:
Good point -- this team knows not to take anything for granted, and the most critical player on the Detroit roster (Hasek) is gunning for his first Cup. There's no way he'd take a Pee Wee hockey squad too lightly at this point.

Chairman:
Always gotta rock the boat, right ;)? BTW, did you see my questions regarding your wife and the pending new addition to your family in the previous thread?

I think it'll be the Wings in 6. The 'Canes aren't going to play doormat for Detroit, but they just don't have enough talent to beat the Wings.

Well I expected a close game...but certainly NOT this outcome. Still don't think that changes my view. Still think Wings in six.

Wel, I don't know if I heard that rumor but I hope that who ever is doing the scouting sticks with and Clarkie STAYS out of it.

Quicky, thanks man but it's been that way for a while. Especially since the debaucle of 1997, which if you remember, the Wings dismembered the Flyers, and handcuffed Eric Lindros along with the rest of the supposed offensive weapons. Good luck though with your Wings in Five. I don't mind being proven wrong.
