Hey, records had their day! I had a record player installed in my car stereo when I was a lad. *

*When I was a lad, we did not drive cars with our feet ala Fred Flintstone, I have to add.

I've still got it. Has that file ever been ripped into a digital format? I'd like to hear it again, just for old times sake.

I'm currently trying to get my turntable hooked into my computer to rip a bunch of old LPs (mostly children's stuff for the kids). If I get it working, and if I can find that old record of the Boingers, I'll do it. But I don't think I have it anymore. :(

Memories............ Bloom County was on of my Favs. I was a DJ at my college radio station when I saw in the USA Today that the strip was ending. A sad day in human history. All the really great comic strips are gone. Bloom County, Far Side, Calvin and Hobbes. :(

Stunning, is it not*, that that medium did not win out over the Compact Disc?

*Actually, it is totally not stunning at all.

Remember of course that record producing plants are re openign all over the world as a combination of dance music and hip hop reinvigorates the vinyl industry. Never say die!

I love bloom county too. Best cartoon ever? Maybe not, but one of my top three.

Greatest. Comic. Ever.
Actually, Zits is one of the best comics I've read in a long time. Almost makes up for things like B.C. Non Sequiter (sp?) is good too.
