[OT] Raw or Smackdown?

Heymann -- Give him control, as long as I don't have to hear him anymore.
Summerslam -- Didn't see it, so no comment.
1. Triple H -- See, I disagree. I like Triple H. He seems to put a lot of effort in both his ring work, and his mic work, does a reasonable job of putting people over, and seems to care about the business.
2. Undertaker -- I could stand to see either a lot less of him, or see him start jobbing cleanly.
3. Is that the guy who came up with the 3 minute crap? If so, he should probably be smacked at least.
4. Stephanie McMahon -- I'm not familiar with what she is actually responsible for, so no comment.
5. The Rock -- The Rock should not be a heel. The Rock should not be a face. The Rock should transcend such titles:>
6. Long-term Builds -- Yep.
7. They seem to be moving in that direction, although one could argue that you're commiting a crime by having Benoit and Angle in that list of talent, since they should have their own list.
8. Tag Division -- I have never been a fan of tag teams, so I don't see any need to build it back up. And if the Dudleys never, ever reunite, I won't be sad.
9. Big Show, Bradshaw -- See, I have to disagree. Big Show works for me when they allow him to do things, be a little goofy. I loved Shonan, and his other skits. Bradshaw might not be the best wrestler, but he brings a nice level of brute force that most of the other wrestlers lack.

Neither. Professional Wrestling is utter trash.

Well, you sure showed us the error of our ways! Thank goodness you're here to tell us these things otherwise we could have spent months wasting our time watching wrasslin' when the new Survivor 5 show is about to start! Thank you

I have to say that after Monday's RAW I won't be watching wrestling again for a long, long time. I have been severely dissappointed week after week for about the last 3 months (although, strangely, I loved SummerSlam - how did they do so well with that and screw up every weekly show they did?) in both shows and Monday's RAW finally pushed me away from wrestling.

I really don't know if I'll ever come back (the last time I stopped watching was in about 1990 and I didn't come back until 1999). I rely on some friend sI know who still watch to keep me informed of any major improvements to the story lines and who gets fired (Undertaker? I could only hope  ).

Raw (is Nitro). As far as television goes, I'm a mark for sports entertainment, not professional wrestling. That said, I do enjoy going to indy wrestling shows. But I don't think TV gets across the nature of in-ring wrestling in any way other than making it look like a bunch of fake fighting and stunts.

RAW has been admittedly horrible for the last two weeks, but still tends to entertain me more by wasting less time in the ring, and using more time for vignettes.

SmackDown I largely fall asleep watching, and if I miss an episode I don't sweat it. This weeks episode was great however, largely because they did a Sports Entertainment-oriented episode and did it WELL.

NWA-TNA was actually a good blend between the two, though now they lean too much toward their "X division". If you want to watch this kind of action, believe me it's done just as well, sometimes better, in the non-televised indy promotions.

CZW Fake You TV has replaced NWA Wildside in this area, which wouldn't be horribly bad, but CZW is about as bush league as it gets. They try to do the vignettes, but they do so extremely poorly. Two wrestlers go into a bar (seem like a punchline is coming?) where a newer wrestler is working as a bartender (world class wrestlers have day jobs? boy has kayfabe fallen by the wayside) and proceed to berate and belittle him.

Their "world champion" Justice Pain attempts to cut a promo which lasts 8 minutes in which he stutters his way through how this title means to world to him (is that why it's a world title? god knows there is no NWA branch legitimacy...). I swear he makes Doug Gilbert look like less of a reject from early 80s Mid-South Wrestling.

Dear god, why didn't they give us 3PW instead? If I want to watch an ECW wannabe, at least give me one with some ECW talent in it.

Sorry for the rant. What was the question again? ;)

oh yeah, shouldn't this be moved to the Non-RPG TV/Movie board?
