Paladin Build

Well, if you're already MC cleric, then divine power is an awesome choice.
Though you'll have to wait till level 10, as that's the other prereq for the daily power swap feat.

Um... Initiatiate of the Faith -is- a prerequisite for the power swap feat....

I know it's a prerequisite, that's why I said what i said. Which was "hadn't thought of that actually, though my paladin HAS initiate of the faith..."

Originally I was thinking I could shore it up with martial power, you guys corrected me on that, my pally has multiclass cleric already so I may as well just swap it at 10th level for divine power is what I was saying, I had not thought of that till it was pointed out to me that martial power wouldn't help me.

I can see how what i said could be misunderstood though, I should have said. If you have initiate of the faith, like I do on my paladin, this could be a good alternative... that would have been more clear. Sorry.

I'm currently playing a "balanced" dragonborn paladin:

level 1:

Str: 16
Con: 14
Dex: 10
Int: 8
Wis: 13
Cha: 18

feat: toughness

I think this is an excellent starting point. For at-will powers you can go with Enfeebling Strike and either Holy Strike (if you want Radiant damage) or Valiant Strike (if you don't want to suffer on the to hit bonus). I think I'd go with Holy Strike because of all the radiant vulnerable undead, not to mention possibly comboing it with Sign of Vulnerability. Depending on how much you need that second lay on hands, you could grab that wisdom bonus early at level 4, or leave it alone for natural progression at level 11.

Piercing Smite is very handy, even with only one additional marked target, you are doing a good job of being defender.

Having high Strength and Charisma opens up a good set of options for you, but the draw back is you always have to weigh in how much a power depends on Wisdom to be worthwhile. Fortunately 13 wisdom is just a single stat bump away from getting a +2, which is not too shabby at all.
