PAMWF will be open sourced under the GPL

I have secured permission to open source PAMWF - PHP Ajax Multimedia Web Framework -- the code underlying ENWorld 2. As soon as the board conversion is done I'll establish an API site where those technically inclined can download, examine and offer help with the code that forms the backbone of ENWorld alongside vbulletin (unfortunately I can't provide access to the vbulletin code as it is proprietary).

As the framework will be open source this means all who work on it can use it on their own web development projects. I'll go over the framework more in depth later but basically the framework is conceived as a "developer's Joomla" - that is a framework to make typical PHP / Ajax tasks easy to deploy. Unlike most other CMS systems out there, PAM isn't user friendly out of the box - it is meant for persons with at least some PHP / Javascript skills and gives them a suite of extensible object to handle common tasks such as database access, CRUD calls, Role-based Access control and so on.

I'll type up more on this when I have time - right now ENWorld 2 is extremely close to being done and I want to finish it up so I can get Russ' greenlight to start upgrade.
