Part 1: The Forgotten Forge (Knight Otu judging) [Concluded]

Weapon takes out a torch and lights it, peering into the darkness. "Looks to be a ways down." He examines the shaft to see if there is an adequate place to tie his rope. If he finds one, he will take his time with the knot, and then see if the rope seems long enough.

Mordin keeps his cleaver in hand as they cluster around the tunnel. "I be thinkin' that me fellow dwarf goes first - in case of any traps, mind ye - followed by Weapon. Siobhan 'n then her brother, then the rest o' the fightin' types and me last."

He looks around their escape route, making sure that no one is lurking in the corridor.

"That way, if'n there's trouble, both the ones up here 'n the ones down there can handle it."

"The book, the key? Bring idea, to transform a mundane item into a key. With that way of thinking, anything can become a key, but it must be hard to produce these keys, and you won't produce many of them." He takes teh book and turn it, try to memorized as much infomration as possible. At a moment, he snap out of that marvelous world and hear Mordin. He nods. "True, let me go down there first." He gives back the book to Siobhan. "Take care of it, I didn't finish reading it." and then look at the shaft, looking at any ladder who could help to climb it.

"I'm thinking whoever goes down first may want to be good at climbing, just in case he needs to retreat back up," Siobhan offers.
"I was deemed worthing of athletic infiltration training; I climb best in my Heavy Infantry class. And the rope is knotted, to help others as well." Weapon holds up the rope, to everyone can see.

"Outstanding," Siobhan nods, "Why don't you go first and check for danger, climbing back if necessary. Then you can call for the rest of us if all is clear."

*She seems less quiet now and more in control...though most would be ill at ease in this musty cavern, Siobhan seems some how more at peace and in her element than she was in the city.*

The vertical shaft is a mix of crumbling earth and ancient stone, and centipedes and other insects cover the walls like living decorations. The long descent, easily scaled with the rope, takes you deeper into the bowels of Dorasharn Tower. Soon, the shaft begins to angle, and by bracing yourself you can actually walk along one of the surfaces. Further still, and the shaft becomes a tunnel, and all footing is no longer difficult to maintain or treacherous.

The tunnel eventually opens onto a vast chamber, though it emerges about six feet above the floor. You can't see the distant walls in the darkness, and the ruins of nearby walls and building appear as deep shadows in the eternal tower night, but you can feel the change in air currents and pressure that indicate a large open space ahead of you.

Just before going down, Kharas tells "If I were them and I could create warforged, I wouldn't leave my forge without protection..." on that, he quickly draw a rune with his finger on his shining armor and whispers a few words. Once that made he'll climb down.

Weapon, making sure his weapons are free and that he has a good grip on his torch, jumps down into the chamber below. Quickly looking around, the warforged tries to get a feeling for the surroundings to ensure it is safe before calling down the others.

(OOC: We'll continue as before, Weapon taking point and scouting for trouble before calling us forward)
If you are looking for stealthy point, Weapon isn't your man, er, thing. But Weapon makes sense to go down the hole first to make sure it is all clear. I think we should go back to the established order of:
Stulgar
Weapon
Kharas
Siobhan
Del/Mordin
Akhi[/sblock]
