She was rather unforthcoming about her purpose or patron, and Mr. Geldem would not have wanted this to fall into the wrong hands after he died to prevent that."

'Well, that's that then. This Elaydrin probably still has something up her sleeve, but with the entire House Cannith watching her, it'll probably be safer than just you.'

'Even though it's in her hands?'

'Yes, even then. The Lord of Blades probably has bigger minions than Saber that he could send after this schema anyway. Best to wash your hands of the whole thing...this city is dirty and depressing anyway. Maybe soon we'll be able to leave here...'

"While I am not privy to the exact details of the Provost's research nor the schema to which you speak, I do know that Lady Elaydren follows normal house protocol and delivers continuous updates to her superiors. Good day to you and from your words I suppose our house owes you some form of gratitude. I will have to leave Lady d'Vown to that though." he says before turning to look back down at the pile of papers strewn in front of him on the desk.

*Siobhan nods and heads out with the others, collecting the group from the inn.*

"I have good news and bad news, guys. Elaydren seems legitimate as far as I can tell, and at least her superiors know about this. That's all the news."

"So, let's go hand it over, I guess--sorry about the price, Akhi, but it looks like it is too late to renegotiate now, I guess. I am a woman of my word, so if you wish, you may all split my share, as I mentioned, in exchange for the inconvenience of checking up on Elaydren."

The crew with schema in hand and background checks complete head over to the Broken Anvil again. You find it much as you did before and the Ghallandan matron indicates the same table as you enter. "She is waiting for you."

At the back table behind the curtain you find Lady Elaydren sitting calmly with her hands folded in front of her. Seeing you she stands and says with a mixture of hesitation and excitement, "Have you really found it then?"

"Yes," Siobhan replies.

"Excellent excellent, I received word from the Secretary just a little while ago that someone had been by to tell my House that the schema had been recovered. I am glad it was by you and not someone trying to sell it to the highest bidder. I'll admit that for a moment I thought you might have failed to keep it from nefarious hands. Oh its good to see that you are still with us, and that you have it! May I see it?" she says.
