Pathfinder miniatures ... are folks using these much?

Since WotC's miniatures went away, these and the Reaper Bones kickstarters are the two main options. I must confess that metal minis used to get me excited, but plastic ones never have.

I've bought some of them. I'm particularly fond of the PF goblins, so I've purchased a lot of them.

Overall; usually, when I buy PF minis, I do so when I don't really care what I get in a pack. Sometimes I just need some odds and ends to fill out my mini selection or I just want to add to what I have and am not looking for something specific. If I'm looking for something more specific, I'll either buy minis to paint or I'll buy a board game (such as an old copy of Descent) and repaint the minis to look more like what I want. If I want lizardfolk, I tend to buy packs of the lizard guys (not sure what their actual name is) from Warhammer.

Now that I think about it, I've purchased quite a few Warhammer minis. For me, I don't mind buying the older and out of date ones because I don't play Warhammer, so it makes no difference to me if a mini isn't legal for the current rules of the game or if a unit has poor stats for the game. I've gotten some pretty good deals on cheap Warhammer minis because they were minis that the Warhammer players at the LFGS either didn't want or couldn't use because a new edition of the game had come out.

Anyway, yes, I do buy and use the Pathfinder minis.

edit: I prefer metal minis and painting, but sometimes I just need something to put on the table and don't really care what it is. Some of the PF minis and minis from games such as Descent turn out fairly good with a repaint.

Hit and miss. I'll buy cheap singles if i find them, but so far there has been only one "OMG I NEED THAT MINI!". Thankfully it was cheap on secondary market at the time...

the one I really *had* to buy was the White Dragon evolution set - the size M, L and H white dragons (coupled with my Gargantuan WotC Icing Death white dragon, I now have a White Dragon family)

I bought some for the Rise of the Runelords campaign where Reaper did not provide a metal version. I re-painted and rebased them. They were very easy to get off the bases compared to D&D plastics that I have repainted and rebased in the past. That was a plus for me, but might not be good for folks who need the bases to stand up to rigorous use.

The price point with randomness made it a non sale for me.
Though as I have a lot of mini's already, so it does have to be a decent deal to get my interest.

I agree with most of the comments here in regards to their quality. Skull & Shackles was the worst for "breakage" mainly due to all of the minis they made that sat on clear pegs. Most people think the pegs are breaking off the bases, but they aren't. The glue is just weak and they "pop" off the base. They just look broken due to the wedge and glue residue on the bottom of the peg.

I think the minis are great though. They get better each set. I just wish we could do less dragons and get more hydras with various amount of heads. Other types of Formians would be nice, an Elder Brain, and a Frost Worm are also on my list of wants. I don't know if those all exist in the Pathfinder series though.

BTW, if anyone does want to get some Pathfinder minis or anything else and wants to trade in their old WotC minis (DDM), I'm always willing to do trades for whatever I have on my website. I can also buy anything you want to unload (or give store credit).

What is the next set after Skull & Shackles?
They have Legends of Golarion next, which is a whole bunch of miscellaneous NPCs and character types if the campaign setting. So more potential PC figures and villains for unsupported APs.
The promo figure is a gargantuan green dragon.

After that is Wrath of the Righteous.
