I'm supposed to be hosting a Play By Mail message board game of D&D pretty soon. I have never participated in one of these in any way, and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions?
Enforce Deadlines: If you decide that people need to post daily then ensure that people aren't answering to posts from days ago. Nothing can screw with continuity quite like this. If someone misses a deadline, they either do nothing, or if that is inappropriate, you as DM decide their actions.
keep RP and OOC Stuff Seperate: Way seperate. Strictly enforce IC and OOC knowledge. Nothign will devolve a game quicker than pople using OOC knowledge IC. You as DM should make it a priority to keep track of which is which for each character
