"What a shame." says Rinaldo with a voice of disappointment "I've saved a family from an attack from a savages orcs, I have protected the daugther of the king of Earling, I have stop some goblin uprising, I have stop a band of brigand who was terrorizing the roads, I have take down a guild of assassin, I have fought a dragon that would have overthrown Monemvassia...

I've worked all these years to make this world a better place to live for my wife, my kids, my friends and anyone else that live on the creation. And what I am? A liar. All this work to be known as a liar."

He looks at the soldier. "I don't blame you, soldier. You have your order and it is all in your honor you follow them. You have been warned we would come here, but do you know why? Have you heard of the council?"

At not time have Rinaldo show any angryness. He has stayed calm and hope this soldier is more open to discussion then the officier.

"What I am telling it is we have come here peacefully and you have welcome us like spies. We have come here to prevent a war and you have threaten us of a war. I'm telling it is true I am good with words, but that over those words, my action should speak for me.

We come from a council where six nations sat down and spoke about a problem that is weigthing over all the creation. We have come to an agreement to do something, to act before it is too late. All we need is one piece of information to prevent many death, to stop a war, or even better, prevent it to happen. You have been ordered to not allow us to enter your border, but have you been ordered to not help us?"

"I think you didn't answer my question, so I guess that is you in that play. And I already know the truth about what you're trying to do and your false war, so don't even bother with that. I've been ordered to get an answer from someone who isn't you. That's what I've been ordered to do. Now somebody else, where did your friend go?"

"What play are you talking about... I'm not sure to follow you on that one."

[SBLOCk=OOC]I am truly not following on that one.[/SBLOCK]

(OOC: You shouldn't know what it is except by guessing very well--it hasn't been mentioned ;))

"The Merchant of Senzio. It's about a treacherous merchant and terrorist who threatens to destroy the world, makes a deal with a powerful Wizard to revive his wicked comrades, and then, after signing a contract to the contrary, betrays the Wizard and tries to murder her instead of doing his part."

OOC: I prefer the Merchant of Venice... but ironically, I've played in it and I was Shylock, the bad guy of the story :p By the way, how many time have passed since TCOtM

"Never heard of that play. That doesn't sound familiar. But how a merchant can destroy the world? I know wizards wield great powers, man of faith might follow evil gods... but a merchant? And who was that wizard?

But you told it was a play. Have you heard the Irene's Amphitheatre in Monemvassia. I've seen many plays there. Most of them are just creation of the mind of genious, and some time, not so genious, artistic mind. A few are stories of heroes who has marked his time, but plays are show first. They are made to entertain and teach people some moral values, and taking all of it at the first level is not the best way to see a play.

But if you know why we are here, you must know that it has been discovered things that show a coming shadow on the creation. You must also know what have been discovered have been submitted to all the headmaster of the Chromatic Order to make sure that would not be the rabbling of a single person before taking teh trouble to call over six nations. You must also know that five of these nations have thought the proof given was string enough to at least take the matter seriously enough and not simply put them aside. You must also know that the only opposant have not even thought it would worth to give the proof all these people are wrong.

Because I must tell you. it would be my dearest wish. I wish all these people are wrong. I want that to be all wrong. That would mean there would be no point to all we are doing, that there will be no coming war. That I could return to my family, see my kids gowing up. But no one have thought it would be a good thing to give these proof that the nations at the council are wrong."

"The merchant was named Rinaldo. Anyway, you are wrong. That is all there is to it. Now, I'm now leaving until someone else tells me what happened to your friend."

(OOC: Actually, want to roll a Bluff check for Rinaldo first? I assumed he succeeded since that was a reasonable bluff, but I guess he might not have)

"Well, as I told, it is a stroy, I could tell the story of a mercifull king and named it with the most monstruous warleader the creation have seen and it wouldn't change who was that man.

Is it not possible just to speak a moment. I don't want to disobey your order, simply you to hear and understand our point of view. After that, if you want to kick us out of this forest, we will cooperate."

[SBLOCK]Ok, not sure if and when I had to roll. Bluff roll: 32
I've also tried to change the attitude of the soldier, to have him more cooperative. i think I have my minute of speech, so I'll make the roll and choose if you wnat it or not. Diplomacy roll to change the soldier attitude: 38[/SBLOCK]
