[Petz] I don't get this battle stuff! (Ingot vs Snarf)

My dog Ingot is in a battle with Verlaine's Snarf. It's Snarf's turn. So all I can do is wait. But I've been waiting for hours. Meanwhile, my poor little Ingot is getting hungry. I can't read the Information screen, can't buy food for her, can't do anything until the battle is over. But it can't be over unless I surrender, or Snarf takes his turn.

So now what?

Well, you wait .. or you surrender.

Yeah. you wait for your turn. If Snarf doesn't go in an alloted amount of time (I think 24 hours) he forfeits his turn.

Then you can choose to attack, defend, or counter.

And yes, you can't do any Petz stuff while you're in battle, besides look at other people's battles too.

Do you mean that letting your opponent die of hunger can be a viable tactic ?

Could be, if you were willing to let yourself die of hunger as well. It takes a long time to die of hunger.

It is possible to set the required time at 1 hour instead of 24 hours. Think I should do that?

24 hours or 1? Is there a happy medium? I'd be playing from work most of the time and its very possible for me to be called away from my desk for hours with little or no notice...

12 hours might be a more happy medium. This is still a message board and you could get called away from the computer, as Sniktch says. Or, you might go to bed and forget to remove the challenge or get challenged when you're going to bed.
