Training is just a type of item - items are either one-use or equipable. Training works exactly llike a potion - a one use item which increases an ability.MerricB said:* Buying items that grant special abilities

A decent XP system might be good - like D&D, if you beat something tough, you get lots of XP.MerricB said:I was just wondering if it'd be appropriate for a "reward" to accrue to the winner past the money wagered on the event.
Perhaps a random (minor) item or a small amount of gold.
If you defeated a much weaker opponent, the reward would be correspondingly weak; but on par and David vs. Goliath battles would give greater rewards.
Thoughts?
