Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

It’s still on my radar, and I do watch things on it. But it’s no longer the channel with the most shows I record.

And now there’s a channel called Comet that airs older sci-fi, fantasy & horror shows & movies.
Comet is good, which is one thing I was annoyed about Syfy, why not show all the old TV programs like Lost In Space, Space:1999, and films too. Instead we got bounty hunters, and like ghosts.

At one point, they DID!

When I first got accessing to the channel in the mid-1990s, most of their programming was old shows & films, plus genre movies from other countries that didn’t have broad exposure in the USA. They’re where I first saw the Logan’s Run TV show and Zeram.

Many of the old SF shows can be had for a song so I have no idea why they wouldn't want to air them, unless it's because they want to become a general channel in the long run. Hell, CTV SciFi runs "Castle" multiple times a day.

I remember when I was working nights just before Sci-Fi became SyFy in '09 they would run 8 hours of a different show every day. All kinds of great sci-fi. Shows that went on for years, many that got a single season. Those were good times.

I haven't seen a lot of it but what I did was hilarious. I watched the original as a kid, back in the late '60s. Space Ghost, Birdman, The Herculoids...

Being a 70's kid, I saw the original on reruns. Loved that one and the new one.
Moi aussi, though I didn't start watching until the early 80s. All that stuff was on in syndication when I was getting up early specifically for the Saturday morning cartoons.

They were great back then, endless Stargate, New Twilight Zones, bunch of good stuff. I mean even if one had seen the new shows before, it was nice to see them all in order again.

My hot SyFy take; for the low budget, RiffTrax-esque made-for-TV slop that it was, the second D&D movie was gourmet slop
I'm hearing rumblings of a Netflix series, set in Forgotten Realms, so more gourmet slop may be incoming. Sadly, those rumblings don't include the cast of the movie.
