Pineapple Express: Someone Is Wrong on the Internet?

We have black widows, brown widows and brown recluse spiders here, so I'm always wary. One time I was walking to a friend's house at night and looked down for some reason and saw that my foot was right in front of a black widow web about to step through it. Then I noticed one right behind my foot. Somehow I managed to step in-between both webs without hitting either. After I slowly moved out of the way, I counted 15 or so black widows along that wall.

Years ago, I was helping my brother renovate his house. We went at one wall with hammers; when the sheet rock came down, hundreds* of tarantulas spilled out.
I don't think two grown men have ever screamed so loudly and so shrilly as that moment.

* "Hundreds" in my head canon. In reality, it was probably more like a dozen.

A buddy who is VERY arachnophobic became so as a kid when he fell asleep on the floor and a spider egg sack fell off of the ceiling onto him and hatched. He woke up to hundreds of baby spiders crawling all over him.

Yep, that's more or less what triggered my own arachnophobia, that is extremely traumatising. Not the worst "trauma from waking up to baby animal shenanigans" I've heard, there's always my wife's story...

As a young kid she was at a sleepover at a friend's house; they had a pet rabbit but absolutely did not know anything about actually taking care of it, did not know that it was pregnant. It climbed inside her sleeping bag, gave birth, and as they are sometimes wont to do, ate its young. Imagine waking up to that.
